Visual figures
Some figures in this project are generated directly through the analytical pipeline, while others are conceptual images designed to clarify the geometry, measurement logic, or remote-sensing implications of the argument. The repository can be prepared to display those figures even when the binary image assets are added manually at a later stage.
This page therefore serves two purposes. It collects the visual figures already generated through code, and it provides stable locations where additional conceptual or interpretive figures can be placed once they are uploaded to the repository. In that sense it is both a gallery and a placeholder for a more visually complete version of the manuscript.
Conceptual figure: WUI boundary scaling
This slot is reserved for a conceptual rendering of how boundary detail accumulation changes measured perimeter as measurement scale is refined. Upload the corresponding image asset to docs/assets/images/ and then activate the image include below.
Conceptual figure: Satellite resolution as ruler length
This slot is reserved for an interpretive figure linking remote-sensing pixel size to effective ruler length in perimeter measurement. Upload the corresponding image asset to docs/assets/images/ and then activate the image include below.
Conceptual figure: Real-data workflow
This slot is reserved for a workflow diagram that traces acquisition, clipping, boundary construction, and scaling analysis for empirical WUI experiments. Upload the corresponding image asset to docs/assets/images/ and then activate the image include below.
Conceptual figure: Boundary definition versus measurement scale
This slot is reserved for a conceptual comparison figure separating definition changes from scale changes within the L_d(epsilon) framework. Upload the corresponding image asset to docs/assets/images/ and then activate the image include below.
