Day 3 — Synthesize and Share
Day 3 is your second major work block. Your team has about 4 to 4.5 hours of team time to turn your work into a clear story.
This is not the day to start a new project. This is the day to refine, synthesize, and communicate what you made or learned.
By the end of Day 3, your Summit team should have:
- A clear story
- 1–2 strong outputs
- A clean final report page
- A 6-minute Summit Report Out
📣 Edit the Day 3 sections Open Home See the Example
D3-A — Align the story
Main pages: Project Question, Define, Explore, Data, and Methods, Results
Spend 20–30 minutes making sure your question, product, and results match.
Ask:
- What did we actually make, test, design, or learn?
- Does the question match what we can show?
- Can someone outside our team understand why this matters?
- What should we remove because it distracts from the story?
D3-B — Clean the evidence
Main pages: Data Exploration, Method and Code, Results
Make your work understandable. Remove anything confusing.
For each important claim, make sure the page explains:
- What you used
- What you tried
- What you found
- What remains uncertain
Be honest about uncertainty.
D3-C — Choose 1–2 strong visuals or artifacts
Main pages: Results, Polished Outputs, Final Summit Report Out
Do not overload the page. Clarity is more important than volume.
Choose 1–2 strong visuals or artifacts.
Good options include:
- A figure
- A map
- A workflow diagram
- A prototype screenshot
- A short table
- A concept sketch
- A notebook link
- A brief or handoff document
D3-D — Build the 6-minute Summit Report Out
Main page: Final Summit Report Out (Day 3, 6 minutes)
Spend 30–45 minutes max preparing this.
Use this structure:
- Why it matters
- What you tried to make
- What question guided the work
- What you used or tried
- What you found, built, or learned
- What remains unfinished or uncertain
- What should happen next
Do not read everything. Use the page to guide the story.
D3-E — Make it reusable
Main pages: Polished Outputs, Cite & Reuse
Add only what someone needs after the Summit:
- links
- data sources
- code or notebooks
- credits
- citations
- next steps
This page should work after the Summit.
D3-F — Final check
Before presenting, make sure:
- The page loads
- Images and links work
- Instructions are hidden or out of the way
- The story is clear
- You can present in 6 minutes
Day 3 finish line
You are done when someone outside your team can understand your work in under 6 minutes.
