Collaboration Leads

Representative Role and Responsibilities

The Collaboration Lead is a new ESIIL Working Group role, meant to be similar to that of the technical lead. This role has been established to ensure groups are well supported in their work together, just as they are in their technical advances.

The person in this role does not need to have prior experience in this role, only an interest in learning more about collaboration skills and a willingness to be the point person to ensure ESIIL collaboration tools are being used systematically.

The Collaboration Lead will:

  • Attend a 2.5 hr interactive workshop with other collaboration leads and with ESIIL team science and community care staff. This workshop will allow leads to get a more in-depth understanding of ESIIL tools and support avenues.
  • Briefly communicate with the ESIIL working group support staff regularly
  • Lead team agreement discussions, especially during the first in-person meeting and regularly throughout the period of work.
  • Lead regular review of the intellectual credit matrix and contributions table, especially as team member responsibilities change or products are developed.
  • Be aware of group collaboration resources from ESIIL and be able to point team members to ESIIL collaboration supports as needed.

The Collaboration Lead may change over the course of the working group. If that happens, ESIIL staff will work with the new Lead to be sure they are prepared for the role.

Masterlist of Resources for CLs

Most of the resources for your team are available from this repository and its GitHub Page. In the tabs before this section, we have provided a link to the ESIIL Code of Conduct and our Guides for Intellectual Contributions and Credit. These are also linked it your own team's personal ESIIL OASIS repository.

You can find the viewable masterlist of CL resources here. This document will be regularly updated. For items that are tools or templates for your team we have added individual tabs for them, such as the CRedIT Contributions Table, AI Scoreboard and other training and materials.
